KIWANIS PARK
Kiwanis Park is the oldest park in the Union City Park System
Developed in the late 1800's, the Park features an ornamental fountain that was originally purchased by the citizens of Union City as a contribution to the Tennessee Centennial celebration held in Nashville in 1896. After the celebration the fountain was sent back and placed in Kiwanis Park in 1897
The Gazebo was originally a band stand and served as the focal point for many political and social events.
The park was originally railroad property, which was purchased from the railroad by W.T. Perkins and donated to the city
to be used as a park
Many events are still held at this downtown facility ranging from weddings to birthday parties as well as major community gatherings
